Built between 1964 and 1965, the Saratoga Eichler tract consists of 35 Eichler homes and offers an eclectic mixture of both gallery and atrium models. They can be found on DeHavilland Drive, Shubert Drive and Columbine Court. Being one of Joe’s later developments, these homes are mostly upscale four-bedroom floor plans ranging from 2100-2800 sq ft living space, on approximately 11,500 sq ft lots. The larger, more spacious lot sizes are definitely one of the distinguishing characteristics of these Saratoga Eichlers. Nestled just off of Cox Avenue and bordered by Highway 85 (yes, there is some freeway noise), a handful of these homes enjoy an amazing creekside location, such as this one on DeHavilland Drive. Several Eichlers in this tract also have swimming pool, which is a nice bonus. In fact, one of the homes we sold on Shubert Drive featured an indoor swimming pool. The local Saratoga schools continually rank as some of the best in the area from kindergarten through high school, making this one of the most coveted Eichler neighborhoods for families with school age children.
